Dear Marcelo Fetha:
Firstly I am sincerely inspired by, and wish to commend you on, your efforts to further the knowledge and utilization of autohemotherapy. I am certain that there must be yet-unexplored pathways of coordination between us and other like-minded persons that may multiply the effectiveness of our respective efforts. I will certainly share any such associated ideas that may come to mind, in reviewing your videos etc as well as from my own continuing reading, as we move into this new decade; and I welcome further suggestions you may have in this regard.
Thank you also for bringing to my attention this item on autohemotherapy and herpes, as I had not seen it previously. I do however find the mixing by the linked author, of discussions of autohemotherapy on the same page with so-called "insulin cellular therapy" or "insulin potentiality therapy", and his overall emphasis on these latter entities, a bit confusing and even a bit distracting from the value of autohemotherapy on its own.
As you may well know, herpes was among the conditions cited in the classic 1913 work by Ravaut, who himself referred to the 1910 work of Mayer and Linser on the subject:
AUTOHEMOTHERAPY: HERPES, TOXIC DERMATOSES OF PREGNANCY - Ravaut 1932:
In his "classic" 1913 article, Ravaut refers to Mayer and Linser, 1910, who reported successful treatment of herpes gestations by injections of a serum from the blood of a pregnant woman, and to reports by them and several others of similar treatment of "toxic dermatoses" of pregnancy, including urticaria, pemphigus, dermatitis herpiformis, strophulus, prurigo, eczema and pruritisand various hemorrhagic diseases of the skin; Spiethoff, who was apparently the first in the series of investigators cited by Ravaut to use the serum obtained from the patient himself (autogenous), and who also in certain cases continued to advocate bloodletting; Hueck on Duhring's disease, psoriasis, eczema, urticaria and pruritis.
It is also noted (thank you again for the impetus to check this) that the medline index (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed) lists a citation as recently as 1997, searching for "autohemotherapy herpes":
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9395705?itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum&ordinalpos=1
And surprise, surprise, medline has been extended back to the excellent 1949 Poth article citing 154 cases:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18140385?itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum&ordinalpos=4
When I had first compiled my index of autohemotherapy articles a couple decades ago (how time flies!), MEDLINE did not extend back-in-time beyond 1966. So even the conventional information source is making progress. At this rate medline will reach the 1913 Ravaut article in approx. 40 years from now, 2050, so my index still has some value for at least a little while.
With kind regards and best wishes for a healthy and happy 2010 and beyond.
Sincerely,
S. Hale Shakman, PhD

Caro Marcelo Fetha:
Auto-hemoterapia: herpes, TÓXICO DERMATOSES DA GRAVIDEZ - Ravaut 1932:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9395705?itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum&ordinalpos=1
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18140385?itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum&ordinalpos=4
Atenciosamente,
S. Hale Shakman, PhD
